Cabana’s New One Way Trips: Everything You Need to Know

One of the best parts of road trips? Driving through new scenery as you explore: watching massive trees give way to ocean views, seeing the sunrise as you make your way through a desert landscape that feels like another world, marveling at the mountain peaks you pass.

One of the worst parts of road trips: the drive home.

We get it. Sometimes you just want to get in the car and go, without thinking about how every mile you journey away from home means a mile back.

Back by extremely popular demand: Cabana’s one way trips!

Our most requested offering is back, and even better. You can take the one way road trip you’ve been dreaming about. We’ve made our process simpler, so we can help even more adventurers achieve their road trip dreams.

As you start planning your one way adventure, here are the details to keep in mind:

One way fee: The one way travel fee is $250.

Trip duration: The minimum trip duration for a one way trip is 7 days.

Locations: One way trips can only be taken between Cabana locations. (Currently, that means Seattle to LA, or LA to Seattle.)

Planning time: Requests for one way trips must be made 14 days prior to the travel start date.

The Booking Process

Reserving a one way trip works a little differently than your usual Cabana booking. Instead of going through our booking website, you’ll submit a request with your preferred pick up and drop off location and your ideal dates.

Our customer support team will process your request within 48 hours. Once we confirm, we’ll send a quote to your email address for review/payment. If we are unable to accommodate the request, we’ll still notify you within 48 hours.

In addition to specific date availability, one way trip approvals depend on the location’s inventory, so you may see dates available on the usual booking site that won’t work for a one way trip.

The Possibilities are Endless

When you stop thinking about your return route, the potential road trip destinations expand extremely.

As with all Cabana bookings, you can add our Concierge service to receive personalized trip planning, complete with campsite bookings, our favorite trails, and even restaurants along the way. Whether you have your key destinations in mind, or you know you want to get out into nature but don’t know where to start, Cabana Concierge will help you discover your dream trip and make it a reality.

As you start imagining your journey, check out our 8 national parks to visit this winter for skiing, desert hiking, and so much more.

Traveling with your furry friend? There’s no such thing as bad beach weather! We’ve got you covered with the best dog friendly beaches in California (and where to stay near them all).
