Tailgating season is upon us! We’ve been looking forward to the cookouts and community that comes with football season. Whether you’re heading back to your alma mater or rooting for your favorite NFL team, Cabana can take your tailgate to the next level.
Here’s everything you need to pack to make your Cabana tailgating trip a hit.
What to add to your booking:
To minimize your packing list and enhance your stay, here are a few things you can add when you book your Cabana.
- Camp chairs: You might be packing your own camping chairs in your favorite team’s colors, but if you’re flying into town or looking to limit your packing, add folding chairs to your booking.
- Pop up tent: Whether it’s protection from the rain or respite from the sun, you’ll want this 10 x 10 awning for outdoor leisure.
- Slide out kitchen: It’s not a tailgate party without tailgate food! Add the slide out kitchen to your Cabana for easy stovetop cooking.
With Cabana’s refrigerator, packing for tailgating is already much easier. If you have a long drive ahead of you, you can enjoy the scenic route knowing your drinks aren’t relying on melting ice in a cooler. Just toss your beer of choice in the fridge instead!
Cabana tip: Along with drinks, don’t forget to pack a bottle opener.
Grilling is a crucial part of game day. The Cabana kitchen add-on includes a two burner stove and comes with a pot and a pan. Anything you plan on serving cold (like spinach artichoke dip or guacamole) can be prepped beforehand and stored in the fridge. Burgers are an easy cookout food for Cabana’s stovetop. Pack a sharp knife and cutting board for any toppings you can’t prep beforehand.
Deck out your Cabana for game day! Bring along a flag or banner, hang streamers in your team’s colors, and of course load up your Cabana's closet with all your merch.
Extras for Hosting
Your Cabana sits and sleeps two, so it’s stocked for two. If you’re planning to spend the day with more friends, pack extra cups, plates, and utensils.
With your queen sized mattress along for the ride, sleeping is as simple as finding a parking spot. If you aren’t visiting a traditional campground, make sure wherever you settle in for the night allows overnight parking. If your plan is to continue on the road post-game, decide on a designated driver ahead of time.
Road Trip Route
If you’re traveling to tailgate, you might as well make a road trip of it! Add more fall activities to your football season. Not sure where to stop along the way? Add Concierge to your Cabana booking for personalized trip planning.
